The Loxton District Chamber of Commerce, together with our valued Sponsors, are proud to host Loxton’s major event of the year, Light Up Day, the flagship event of the Loxton Christmas Lights Festival. 

 

A day of family, food, friends and fun our Program of Events is packed full of entertainment, performances, food and craft stalls, fashion parades, amusement rides and lots of other activities for the whole family to enjoy.  Our vibrant shopping precinct is open from 9.00am right through to 8.30pm and then at 9.00pm we will enjoy one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in country South Australia to mark the official beginning of the Festival.

 

Loxton then comes alive after dark when you can visit large clusters of residential streets featuring homes adored with thousands of fairy lights, illuminated Christmas figurines, paintings and coloured light displays.  It’s a magical time and the community is justifiably proud of this positive event which uplifts the spirit and touches the heart, demonstrating the very essence of what makes our charming town so special. 

 

It is an opportunity to invite family and friends back home to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.
